What is on the Cards for the Future of Print in Lebanon and Worldwide?

In an era dominated by technology, is it inevitable that newspapers and the world of print will slowly but surely fade away? Following the closing of As-Safir, one of Lebanon’s leading newspapers, in December 2016, many ponder the fate of the country’s other once prosperous papers. A global print crisis is at hand, though, and the Lebanese papers are not alone in their battle. Ahmed Shihab-Eldin and Laudy Issa each offer their views regarding what may be on the cards for newspaper and print in a digital age.
